​About

Yoshiki Maruhashi is a composer and producer hailing from Chiba, Japan.

Born in 1994, Yoshiki developed a love for classical music at a young age, and began playing the piano when he was five years old.

 

As he grew older, he became increasingly interested in pop music, and began learning the guitar, bass, and drums when he was 13.

In high school, Yoshiki joined a band as a bassist and keyboard player, and began composing and songwriting when he was 15.

 

His passion for music led him to pursue higher education at The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, where he studied composition and music production.

While in university, Yoshiki began writing music for films, and had the honor of having his tracks played at the graduation ceremony in front of notable figures such as Paul McCartney, Rowan Atkinson, and Stephen Fry.

 

Since graduating in 2019, Yoshiki has continued to pursue his passion for music, writing for video games, indie film and music libraries, as well as producing pop music artists.

 

In 2020, he wrote Lo-Fi hiphop tracks for 'Tokyo LosT Tracks - Sakura Chill' by Sony Music Japan, showcasing his versatility and creativity as a composer.
